Well, the past weekend was interesting. We went on our Engaged Encounter Weekend for church, and it was interestingly fun. In the beginning, I was all closed-minded, and questionable about the experience. I was wrong.

Over the weekend, we answered a series of questions about ourselves, our perception of each other, and what they thought, and other questions about life, and how it will turn out. Then, we would discuss our answers. The weekend is desinged to allow you to find a deeper understanding and love within each other, while disconnecting from the wedding plans and other distractions. It sure did that!

When I walked out of there on Sunday afternoon, yeah, I was oblivious to the happennings of the world and wanted to check my email and voicemail, and to 'reconnect' so badly. Guess what, NO ONE CALLED!! If they had, it really didn't matter. I had a great weekend with Lisa, and we were able to connect (or 'reconnect') so deeply that she (and we) is all that really matters.

I seem to be rambling, but I guess that's because I cannot express with words what had happened. I was in another world when I got home Sunday night. It is a shame, though, that I have to go back into the uncaring, cruel world that we live in. It's an overall downer, but when I go home to Lisa and my family, that's when I realize what is really important.

Lake Placid this weekend!!!
